Islamic gunmen blamed as 24 die in Kashmir raid
From Ian MacKinnon in Delhi
London Times

Islamic militants dragged 24 Hindus from their homes and massacred them early yesterday in a remote village in Indian Kashmir. .
The murders were the bloodiest violence since a new state government was elected seven months ago with a promise to heal the disputed state’s religious strife. The incident was a big setback for embryonic peace moves and will renew tensions in the region.

FF,

What are trying to say with this post ? Could it be that India is supposed to be next so the Indian people will be liberated from Islamic militants ?

Islam is a "religion" of murder and genocide.

I'd wager Christianity has slaughtered more, if for no other reason that has been around longer and has more followers.

FunkSoulBrother,

Let's set some guidelines??

In your opinion: Historically (let's skip theology), who are the founders of Islam and Christianity?

I would wager that the Christians killed more during the Crusades then the muslims have in their 1400 year existence.

FatFrank, I see where you are going, and I understand that as best as objective history has told us, Jesus was a man of Peace and Mohammed a man of war.

Regardless, we are discussing the killing in the names of these men. It's almost a little more disturbing that one would kill in the name of Jesus, a man of peace.

Hey Joint! I live in Colorado now, but I still keep an eye on Sioux hockey. I know that they are in the tournament this year (naturally), I'm hoping they are on tv a few times out here.

They are the #3 team in the West this year vs #2 Ferris State. My Prediction Sioux win 5-2 and advance to play a crazy game against Minnesota in the regional finals!!

Facts are cold as hell sometimes... Mohammed was a murderer and an advocate of genocide. So, when people emulate Mohammed they are in fact following the founder of Islam.

Thats wonderful. If you want me to say Jesus was a more peaceful and righteous man than Mohammed, there you go, I said it.

As far as how the followers of both religions have acted since their inception, I'd argue that it is a toss up at best.

"The theory of Islam and Sword for instance is not heard now frequently in any quarter worth the name. The principle of Islam that there is no compulsion in religion is well known. Gibbon, a historian of world repute says, "A pernicious tenet has been imputed to Mohammadans, the duty of extirpating all the religions by sword." This charge based on ignorance and bigotry, says the eminent historian, is refuted by Quran, by history of Musalman conquerors and by their public and legal toleration of Christian worship. The great success of Mohammad's life had been effected by sheer moral force, without a stroke of sword."

Someone could also post a message titled "More peaceful Christians" referring to Tim Mcveigh.

There are assholes in every religion.

>referring to Tim Mcveigh

I am totally convinced Banned4Life has no reading comprehension...
